57 Book Donation to Camp RYSE!
We're thrilled to share some heartwarming news! At Fiction for Kids, our mission has always been to ignite the spark of creativity in young minds and foster a love for storytelling. Today, we're delighted to announce that we've teamed up with Camp RYSE (Refugee Youth Solidarity through Education) to bring the magic of reading to school-aged refugee children in Rhode Island.
Camp RYSE holds a special place in our hearts for its dedication to helping young refugees integrate into the US educational system. Through innovative project-based learning and the creation of a supportive community, Camp RYSE not only combats summer learning loss but also paves the way for bright futures. We're honored to contribute to their noble cause.
Our donation of 57 captivating stories spans across various age ranges and languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese. From heartwarming tales of friendship to exciting adventures that will whisk readers away to far-off lands, there's something for every young reader to enjoy. Among the donated books are some of our latest releases, such as "The Bright Side of the Moon," "When Poppy Lost Her Petals," "The Great Maple Falls Bake-Off," "Sunny the Sea Serpent," and "Henrietta Cuddle Doesn't Want to Snuggle."
We extend our deepest gratitude to Allison Arteaga and Sunni Ryan at Camp RYSE for their invaluable assistance in coordinating this donation. Their dedication to empowering young minds is truly inspiring, and we're honored to partner with them on this journey. We'd also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Sneha Tallam, our head of outreach, whose passion for spreading the joy of reading knows no bounds.
As we look ahead, we're excited to continue our partnership with Camp RYSE and other organizations that share our commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children everywhere.
